It seems another high profile actor has had their eye on moving to the Tampa Bay area.
And for Tom Cruise & Clearwater Florida, Mission: Accomplished! According to the August cover story in People Magazine, the Mission Impossible actor sold his Beverly Hills estate for $39 million. On top of that they have ” been renovating a penthouse apartment in Clearwater, Fl. as a new home base”. Um, from what we have read, yeah we’d say so!
It seems mid-construction the developers of the SkyView condo tower were asked to turn the top three floors of the building into a lavish penthouse. Including a gym, theater, pool, garden, game room, car elevator and a flight simulator. Yeah, thats some renovating, and very Mission:Impossible sounding! It comes as no surprise that Cruise decided on Clearwater as a relocation spot. A move that puts him just blocks from the church’s International headquarters. But Cruise isn’t alone. His close friend, and church leader, David Miscavige, and family members including his son Connor, 23, have also relocated to Clearwater. I wonder if they have a flight simulator in their place?
Cruise has already been spotted by locals in downtown Clearwater walking along Ft.Harrison, accompanied by other Scientology members. Local sources told People magazine “He’s very relaxed when he’s here.” This is not the first celebrity to live in the Clearwater area and have close ties to the church. Lisa Marie Presley and Kirstie Alley have also resided in the Clearwater area. And John Travolta can also be seen from time to time roaming the local shops and malls.
